Alphabet And Letter Discussions
Hello! another new guy!
Hi! this is redsky. From earth. I love internet, music, books, watching tv. And try to make some money from net.:).
Are we scarred for life?
I grew up in an abusive home with a father who was an alcoholic. I found ways of dealing with my home life by escaping into music, books, and sadly around 11 years of age drugs. I did drgus until I was 20, have been clean since and have spent about 8 or 9 years in therapy dealing with the issues of my childhood and learning that my low self-esteem and so on were not part of my doing and was able to overcome the obstacles laid forth by my childhood.I think I've dealtpretty well with it all but have noticed that at times some of the smallest things set off a thinking pattern in my mind which makes me quite sad. For instance I was watching a rerun of Full House where Stephanie ends up telling Jessie about a kid in her class who's father beats him up. Seeing fathers with their children in playgrounds enjoying time together seems to bring an emptiness to this day still.I know we can learn to move on and free ourselves of the abuse from our childhood but do we really get over it?Any thoughts on this?
Why do so many people on MyLot talk about their relationships?
I am really surprised that this discussion board focuses so much on people's relationships. Why do you think that is? On other sites that I belong to, people talk about music, books, movies, places to go and things to do. Here they seem to focus on what's going on with their boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife or kids or parents. Sometimes, it feels like a big soap opera. When someone discusses something different, I am almost shocked!
what is the best site for us to refer anything?
hi, i want the best site to refer everything, can anyone tell me. I want everything like music, books, movies etc..
What are you passionate about?
What interests you? i know people passionate about music, books etc. I am passionate about books and cars, especially cars.
When things are taken away
Just to let anyone know, this computer I'm on is not mine. I sit at everyone's computer. I don't really have one. I did. I bought it two years ago for $700 dollars. It was a beauty now it sits in a box. My boyfriend needing memory borrowed mine(with my permission) so now I got to make due. I haven't had privacy listening to music so I can 't dance...I mean I can, but not the way I would by myself, plus no daydreaming. Computers are wonderful-the things we can do with them. I liked to play The Sims 2, and Age of empires on my computer. I would do searches at howstuffworks.com and look up anything interesting through google. I used to download sims 2 skins, mods, creations, clothes..etc. I would practice french...and I would write poetry. Surprisingly, losing a computer feels like losing a part of yourself. I lost my music, so now I listen to others, and I play other sims 2 games without my content, or characters. I daydream, but now i go to my room. I felt this way before when the books of my bookcase where donated without my knowing. I had invested near $100 dollars in books and my mother not knowing I hadn't read them. I had so many books, and my mom didn't realize I...

The Father Dennis and His Hobbies
The word hobby is an interesting word. Every person has one thing he or she likes to do for fun. Some people like to collect things like stamps or storybooks. Others like to play football or go window shopping where you can look at many beautiful things without buying them. Dennis has many hobbies he does for fun. He sometimes plays golf with his sons. He plays tennis with all the family. He likes to collect music books. He also collects musical instruments from China like the erhu, the xun, the dizi, the xiao, the suona, and the pipa. These are the instruments of China which cannot be found in America. He also likes coins, such as the Shun Zhi or lucky coin from the Qing dynasty. He has been interested in Chinese stamps when the mailman delivers letters from China. Stamps are so interesting because they include Chinese leaders, buildings, animals, birds, and fish. Dennis' favorite hobby is fishing. He likes to go and see his brother in the state of Alaska where fishing is excellent. The two of them take a boat and go to a small river where they fish for salmon, America's most famous fish. Deep in the forest, they sometimes...
Does anyone else hang-out with their Family outside home just for fun?
Today was a great day for me, once a month we guys got out shopping with dad. Yeah I know it doesn't sound cool, but we all hang-out together and today we did that. The shopping part is just an excuse, we mostly don't even window shop properly but we just go out, look around the mall a bit, chat a lot, check out each other's opinions on clothes, music, books and just plain talk.We hang around a good couple of hours and then lunch out and again just talk, catch up with each others lives, get connected with each other and head home, we might have bought something but mostly it is just a fabulous day with some arguments, disagreements and a whole lot of fun. This is something we enjoy and make it a point to do once a month the least no matter how busy our individual schedules are.Does anyone else hang-out with their family (not counting the typical family gatherings or mandatory visits) just to enjoy a fine day, bond together and have fun as a family?
