installing baseboards
can you use adhesives or glue to install baseboards
What are asbestos-containing products?
What is common to many asbestos-containing products is that they were (are) used to contain heat (i.e. thermal insulation.) It is impossible to list all of the products that have, at one time or another, contained asbestos. Some of the more common asbestos-containing products are pipe-covering, insulating cement, insulating block, asbestos cloth, gaskets, packing materials, thermal seals, refractory and boiler insulation materials, transite board, asbestos cement pipe, fireproofing spray, joint compound, vinyl floor tile, ceiling tile, mastics, adhesives, coatings, acoustical textures, duct insulation for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, roofing products, insulated electrical wire and panels, and brake and clutch assemblies. Some of these products contained a very high proportion of asbestos, while others contained small amounts.

It has been said that a hot glue gun is to a woman what duct tape is to a man
Eo you use either of them? I don't. I am such a klutz that I usually burn myself badly with a hot glue gun. Also, some of the things I do require that the glue not soften in the heat. I have better luck with some heavy duty craft adhesives that come in tubes. I do not use duct tape often either, as I prefer to do more permanent repairs. Although you can do an emergency hem of a skirt pretty well. Tell me about what these items represent in your day to day life.
Tips to try to quit???
Well, I have been smoking for about 13 years now, and I really want to quit. Only problem with that is that when I try... well, it just doesn't work. I get really grouchy, eat a lot, get depressed, and very touchy. I have tried so many things... I can't use the patch because I am allergic to adhesives, can't chew the gum cuz it raises your heart rate and I have tachycardia. So I have tried smoking outside to cut down, sucking on lollipops, chewing regular gum, brushing my teeth every time I want a cigarette, going cold turkey, and hypnosis (which worked for about 2 months). If I really try hard enough I can quit, but as soon as something happens or I am upset about something, I fire right back up. ANY ONE WITH POINTERS????
Do you know about craft glues and other glues?
I do lots of crafts that involve gluing things together. Esp. recycled materials. But most stuff just doesn't stick for very long. Like glue dots haven't worked very well for me from Oriental Trading Company. I try to buy craft glue that says it sticks lots of different materials, but often they require lots of glue and it dries clear, but you can still see it or it really looks raunchy like with felt, changes the felt over the glue. Maybe I should give up crafts with glue or just stick to family gifts with glue. But I was just wondering if someone knows a glue that holds well, uses very little so that it truly can be unseen, etc. So please tell me what glues you use and the value of using each one as well as the limits of the glue you use. Thank you very much for your assistance. I really appreciate it. Trying to do crafts that don't work out or fall apart can be very frustating.
How do you get your ribbon to stay on your pages?
I normally use sticky tabs for pictures and stuff, but some of the ribbons I have are thin or see-through, and I can't use those. What do you use?
what kind of glue/epoxy do you use to glue on (and hold) your embelishments?
hey all you scrapbookers out there, i was wondering what type of glue or epoxy you all use in order to affix your embelishments to your sheets? what do you reccomend?thanks in advance!
Will you boycott a company that you use all the time?
Last night I was watching tv and saw the report linked below. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23175270/ It made me so angry to think that Bayer.. a company that I always thought was safe hid a report knowing that people were dying so that they could make money.22,000 lives were lost due to the use of this drug between the time that Bayer's researchers reported to them it was dangerous and the time it was discovered and they had to pull it..Sick thing is that the Bayer drug cost thousands while it's replacement was very little.. Bayer is also the maker of the pesticide that is believed to be responsible for the honey-bee deaths.. http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/sepp/2003/11/26/millions_of_bees_dead_bayers_gaucho_blamed.htm For gosh sake I gave my babies Bayer products! ..I will never buy from Bayer again! One -a-day vits, aleve,yasmin..how safe are they? Are we just waiting to see when someone dies? I found the list below of products that bayer makes Quote" A Brand Product classes/application Subgroups Sector/ division AdalatĀ® Hematology/Cardiology Bayer HealthCare Bayer Schering Pharma AG, Germany* AdmireĀ® Insecticides/ Seed Treatment Bayer CropScience Crop Protection...
Question for all the Canadians out there - Have you ever had . . . . . .
adhesive versus stitches?I was just reading about this today and thought it was very interesting. I had to receive my first set of stitches about three months ago, on my finger, and wondered how adhesive could be better. I was lucky and only had to get 4. You can barely see the scar.Doctors in Canada use an adhesive similar to Krazy Glue instead of stitches, lowering the possibility of bacterial infection and minimizing scarring.Another question, is this used a lot on are there certain situations that adhesive can't be used? Thanks!
