Charlotte's Web is a great kid's book!
Will you see the new movie that opens today?
My son participated in an attempt to break a Guiness Book of World Records
His school participated in this event where they all had to read a certain passage simultaneously. It was so neat to see and hear them all and I sure hope they were able to break the record as we won't know for a couple of weeks.Did anyone else have a child that participated in this event?? If not would you have wanted your child to be able to? You can read about it: Students and staff at Webb Elementary took part in an event that could set a new world record Wednesday morning.According to the Guinness Book for World Records, the record for largest number of people reading the same piece of literature aloud simultaneously in multiple locations is 155,528 from 737 schools in the United Kingdom. The Webb Elementary students, staff and parents took part in an attempt to break that record. And they did so in both English and Spanish.“Both Webb and Burks Elementary students took part in this, along with Bennett Elementary students,” Christy Hames, Library Media Specialist at Webb, said. “Webb and Burks have one bilingual class per grade. Our older classes had plenty of time to learn the passage in English and could do that. But the first grade class read it in...

“Night at the Museum” Tops Box Office, Better than Expected
“Night at the Museum,” starring Ben Stiller, who usually plays in funny movies without managing to be funny himself, scored this weekend a big revenue at the box office and also showed, maybe for the first time, Stiller can really be funny. With an estimated $30.8 million garnered over the weekend, the comedy exceeded expectations for 20th Century Fox, which had been counting on a bit more than $20 million, said head of distribution Bruce Snyder."For a tough weekend, this is an amazing number," Bruce Snyder, president of domestic theatrical distribution at the News Corp.-owned studio. "Everybody is pretty preoccupied."Sony’s “The Pursuit of Happyness,” starring Will Smith, came in second this week with $15 million, raising its 10-day total to $53.3 million. Other new releases included the Sylvester Stallone boxing comeback "Rocky Balboa" at No. 3 with $12.5 million, the Robert De Niro-directed spy drama "The Good Shepherd" at No. 4 with $10 million, and the football melodrama "We Are Marshall" at No. 7 with a disappointing $6.6 million, reports Reuters.Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he's destined for...

What's your Top 5 Best Family Movies of 2006?
There were so many popular family and inspirational movies this year. Mine favourites are Charlotte's Web, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Lassie, Cars, X-Men: The Last Stand ... What were your Top 5 favourites family movies in 2006?
Have you seen the new "Charlotte's Web" movie?
I was looking forward to seeing this since Charlotte's Web was one of my favorite books as a child. Then, I made the mistake of reading some reviews in our local newspaper and it got horrible ratings. Mind you, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to movie critics because they aren't looking for the same things I am in a film. I prefer to hear from people like me, attending a movie with or without family, etc. Have you seen it? What did you think?
Charlotte's Web
Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen What is your opinion about this movie? Give it a grade.
